“Decolonizing” most institutions would actually mean dissolving them and closing them down as most institutions are colonial by design and by function.
Last year so many people protested Canada Day after the news came out of Kamloops. We are still uncovering graves.
Will it be the same this year? Did anything actually shift in anyone? Canada, how long is your memory?
@asquared20me@sj2go@TorontoStar I can understand that point, but I wasn't referring to that. His colour does matter. Every. Single. Day and every single interaction. As does yours. And his colour most definitely mattered when and if he was treated with much more violence and force than necessary.
