The authors of the New Testament drew heavily on Psalm 110:1 in order to illustrate the distinction between Yahweh, the God of Israel, and an exalted human figure (Jesus). Learn more about the beliefs of the early Christians in my newest book https://t.co/6P4PuAp8Of
"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." (Luke 2:52, King James Version)
versus
"And Jesus in his human nature increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with one third or two thirds of God, and man." (Luke 2:52, New Trinitarian Version)
Jesus' message was: Repent! God's Kingdom is coming soon! This must be our message as well if we love people and want them to be resurrected and made immortal when Jesus returns .His government will reign over all nations! True peace on earth!

EPIC DEBATE! Is Jesus YHWH? Will Barlow vs Samuel Nesan https://t.co/Q6hkynFfi2 Is Jesus YHWH? Here's the replay of Will Barlow (negative) and Samuel Nesan (positive) debate the nature of Christ! How can Jesus be God is he's truly a man? How can Unitarianism explain Jesus clear equality with God in authority?
In Acts 17, Paul and Silas in Thessalonica go to the Jewish synagogue, and
"on three Sabbaths he [i.e., Paul] reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving that the Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead." (Acts 17:2)
Paul concludes with
"This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Christ." (Acts 17:3)
So what does Paul argue for? That Jesus is the Christ (the long-prophesied King of Israel), and that the Christ had to suffer, die, and rise from the dead.
What isn't mentioned, despite Paul reasoning with Jews over ***3*** Sabbaths about Jesus?
That the Christ is also God.
That's a minor oversight, Paul!
When some of the Jews there become jealous, to try to convince others and the officials, what do they say is the problem?
"They are all defying Caesar’s decrees, saying that there is another king, named Jesus." (Acts 17:7)
Again, the issue centres around whether Jesus is a king, i.e., *the Christ*.
In the entire passage, nothing is mentioned about Paul claiming Jesus is God or anything like that.
Almost as if ... Paul didn't think that. 🤔
