I’m not a founder.
I’m not a VC.
I’m not an AI researcher.
I’m a procurement manager — responsible for a team — watching AI quietly reshape everything around me while most people look the other way.
That’s exactly why I started this account.
@buccocapital The culture problem is the hardest one. You can change strategy in a meeting. You can’t change culture in a meeting. Most companies know what needs to happen but very few can actually execute it.
@realEstateTrent Gold rush is the right analogy. But remember who made the real money in the gold rush. Not the miners. The people selling shovels. The infrastructure play is always bigger than the hype.
@svpino Took me a while too but not because I didn’t believe in it, i just never sat down and really used it properly. Once I did, there was no going back.
@AndrewYang This is how it actually happens
Not a big announcement
Not a rollout plan
It just spreads department by department until one day leadership realizes half the company is running on agents
@farzyness Good list. I’d add one: most enterprises still won’t have figured out how to govern agent access to internal systems by end of 2026. The tech moves faster than the compliance frameworks.
@levie The token budget point will hit procurement hard. Most companies have no framework for forecasting compute costs yet. It’s going to land in OpEx discussions nobody is prepared for.
@signulll Enterprise wants control and structure. Consumers want simplicity. If the agent UI gets too complex trying to serve both, it’ll serve neither well.
@DevCreatorWorld@GergelyOrosz Maybe. But there was actual logged data showing thinking depth dropped in February. That’s not a prompting issue. That’s something else.
@MichaelDell Humans sleep 8 hours a day. Agents don’t. Multiply that by billions and compute demand doesn’t grow linearly – it explodes. Are we ready for that scale?
@cgtwts Cloudflare isn’t failing. The market is pricing in a world where the vulnerabilities they protect against get found and fixed automatically. That’s not a Cloudflare problem. That’s an entire category problem.
@TukiFromKL Microsoft spent $150 billion on AI and couldn’t get their own users to pay for it. Anthropic just walked into Word and did it better. Sometimes the tenant outperforms the landlord.😉
@garrytan This mental model applies way beyond engineering. In procurement, in operations, in any knowledge work, the shift is the same. Stop being the executor. Start being the orchestrator. Most people haven’t made that switch yet.
So what does this mean for middle management? You’re not getting replaced tomorrow. But the people who learn to steer agents and own outcomes will pull ahead. The ones who just pass information up and down? That job is shrinking.
