I appreciate you wanting to to help, but the 4 times I’ve called has basically accumulated to a manager telling me that unless I pay I’ll have debt collectors at my door and it’s not the companies problem that I ‘didn’t check my own usage and calculate my own bill’
So @BritishGas set up a direct debit, installed a smart meter and told me to relax cause it’s all on hand
Then when I moved, they suddenly wanted £350 because they undercharged me for NINE MONTHS
They are now trying to BULLY me into paying it, adding a default on my file #corrupt

I have asked for the transcripts of my calls and for a written reason why they closed my complaint without consulting me. I’ve also reopened the complaint.
@BritishGas have a lot to answer for.

@BritishGas Whilst I appreciate there might have been faulty equipment or signal issues with the meter, @BritishGas would have known this. They undercharged me for 9 MONTHS. They only realised when I 'left' which is convenient. But it's nice to know we both agree that its @BritishGas fault
@BritishGas Thanks Adele. Unfortunately as stated I have called multiple times and spoken to the staff and managers at @BritishGas to no avail. Infact, the last manager I spoke to laughed at me down the phone when I told him of my plight.
@BritishGas An 'unexpected bill' should not be possible when you're on a smart meter and pay by Direct Debit. Unless @BritishGas are admitting that they don't use Smart meters for what they said they would?

Having a large final bill wasn’t just a shock, it was unjust. @BritishGas knowingly undercharged me on my direct debit for 9 months. I had a smart meter. There should t have been a ‘final bill’ over the DD
