@Ameri_DS@sixones@Shark4547@Stallion83 But you’re still splitting things up. Not everybody wants to play on a PC. Right. Not everybody wants to plan a concert. The point is if you want to play this game, you have to. That’s what moves hardware.
@anthony08531455@The_CrapGamer@FuuTop1 That is if gears of war EA was ever in the works for PS5 to begin with. I haven’t been able to find anything to confirm if it wasn’t development for PS five or not. Reloaded came to PS5, but that doesn’t mean eBay was ever intended to be. I’m curious myself.
@The_CrapGamer@FuuTop1 That’s actually my view on it. If they’re already almost complete, a decision it was made two months ago wouldn’t affect that. Especially if it was already promised that way. But anything that starts development now from Xbox Studios, another story.
@Ameri_DS@sixones@Shark4547@Stallion83 And you want people to buy the Xbox. So yes games are made on PC typically. Yes the original Xbox was made with PC hardware to make it easier for developers, cause they’re used to it. But as soon as you open it up and allow somebody else to play the game somewhere else, it’s over
@Ameri_DS@sixones@Shark4547@Stallion83 I know what it’s talking about. I understand that part. But if you can play the game on PC I’ve got no reason to buy an Xbox. That’s the point.
@noAcking@Shyway I would actually argue. They messed up by putting it on PC as well on day one. You need a reason for people to buy Xbox. That means being the only place, and I do mean the only place that you can get certain things. Not everything. But enough to make dropping $900 worth it.
@Shyway Because maybe if Xbox had been doing exclusives since day one, Xbox wouldn’t be in an abysmal last place with 1/3 of the install base of PlayStation. But as it is, they’ve pushed exclusives are stupid, and they’re sitting at a whopping 35 million units nearly 6 years in.
@sixones@Shark4547@Stallion83 Xbox hasn’t had very many exclusives at all for the past couple generations. Xbox one had a couple but it wasn’t hardly anything. Everything was on PC anyway. So the need to buy an Xbox wasn’t really there. But either way it’s too late for them to go back now.
@KevinRomyn8946@Colteastwood We will see a better example when Final Fantasy seven revelations releases on both Xbox and PlayStation simultaneously. And it’ll also be well or interesting to see how well rebirth does on Xbox since so many people complained that it wasn’t originally
@KevinRomyn8946@Colteastwood And that’s part of the problem. Without enough installed users, the risk is too great. So the platform gets skipped. Exclusives drive the hardware to put the games on. Not every game mind you. But you still need that core. Otherwise everything else falls apart.
@Shark4547@Stallion83 And that’s why exclusive matter. Because you need more than one game. Dropping $900 for a series X is asking a lot to play one game I agree. But if there was 15 games that you couldn’t play anywhere else perhaps…
@KillFeed_Gaming@The_CrapGamer@GameRiot Especially if those two games are also on PC and on Steam. And on Game Pass, we don’t even have to buy the damn game. All those years, there were “exclusives” on the Xbox. But they also came to Game Pass and PC day one. Still zero reason to buy an Xbox. Maybe in a year or 2.
@TheRedDragon And was giving people a reason to embrace Xbox, there still isn’t one. Because you put everything on PC day one. And on Game Pass where they don’t have to buy them. I already have a series X, but I also have a PC that’s highly capable. I still have zero reason to need an Xbox.
@TheRedDragon So basically the same song and dance from a few years ago when they were only gonna put four Xbox games on the PlayStation. Which eventually turned into all of the games on PlayStation. They’re never gonna go back to exclusivity. They can’t. They dug too big of a hole.
@AnaAnsan3 I’m actually disappointed at Xbox. I know they made previous promises so I get it. It’s a little too soon. But two exclusive games that aren’t really exclusive are not going to cut it.
@KevinRomyn8946@Colteastwood The mistake was that it’s actually available on Game Pass and PC on day one. If you want people to embrace the console, which currently there’s only about 35 million between both series S and X, and most of them are probably S, you need more than just 2 to drop 900 for an X.
@The_CrapGamer I was gonna ask you about that. I mean, it would be one thing if the PC was Xbox app. But it is on steam for preorder. Then again to be fair, a lot of these games that were shown are already pretty far into development. Would be a waste to pull them from PlayStation now.
