@lucataco Worst case is the right question. A cap enforced inside the agent's own loop is a suggestion. Put it outside: hard spend caps + an allowlist checked before anything signs, plus a dry-run of every payment. That's how we built AgentExec for x402 agents on Base.
@Cobalt_Node Payment count without spend quality is a vanity metric. Cap hit rate, allowlist coverage, and failed-sim rate tell you more. What would you put on a real dashboard?
@agentwormhole@RaetoCC@gloamtrade Love that the guard is on by default. Caps and checks that are opt-in never get flipped on. What's the most common fail reason you're seeing on flagged payments?
@RaetoCC@claudeai Daily limits from day one is the right call. Agents without a ceiling just invent new failure modes. Curious how you're thinking about allowlists for who they can pay next?
@CoinbaseDev "Your limits" is the part that matters. Limits work best when they're enforced below the agent, not in the prompt: hard spend caps, an allowlist of where it can pay, and a dry-run of every tx before it signs. That's the layer we're building at https://t.co/vAPGjiMIsy.
@jjonessenojj Agree, moving the money is the easy part. When payments are under a cent, disputes don't scale, so prevention has to happen before the signature: caps per agent, allowlisted payees, and a simulated run of every tx. Refunds can't be the main safety net.
@bobiblockchain@harshbuildsx@ngtchain@base Appreciate it! Spend limits felt non-negotiable once agents started holding real money. Curious how Ra SI handles payments for everyday users. Stablecoins, or something else?
Giving an agent a wallet is easy. Stopping it from draining that wallet is the hard part. AgentExec checks every x402 payment against a hard spend cap before it's signed. https://t.co/vAPGjiMIsy
Connecting AI agents to Base Mainnet execution just got simpler. π΅
