This is For Gaza. A short piece of music, accompanied by a poem by Steve Tromans, and artwork by Axel (formerly Frogboi on Twitter). All of the work has been done in direct response to the genocide, and is dedicated to the people, alive and dead…

Middle child (son) is 12, and he literally doesn’t seem to know anything. I’ll ask “how was your day?”, and he’ll reply “I don’t know”. “School ok?” I might ask, “I don’t know” he’ll reply. Then I may ask “Anything exciting happen?”, to which his response will be “I don’t know”
Had made a start ages ago on a cover of the VDGG song Still Life, but hadn’t gotten any further with it at that time. It popped into my head the other day, and I thought I should try to work on it again, so I have! Pretty much have a sketch done of the entire song structure…
Have had this appointment booked in for 6 months. I’d accidentally booked work in and then realised I had this already arranged, and had to go through the hassle of rearranging the work, only to get this message 2 hours before the scheduled appointment. Great!
Doubt I’ll have a mix of OMY to share by end of this week now, but hopefully by end of next week. Been doing bits of work on other things when possible, and had a busy weekend, so haven’t been back to working on the mix yet. I will get back to it though! :)
Made a few small tweaks based on feedback, and think this is a pretty decent sounding mix.
If anyone should happen to like it enough to want to listen to it more than once, feel free to save the wav straight from Dropbox, and listen as much as you want!

@MusicFeedbackFr Working on a new mix for this song, would be great to get some feedback on that specifically. Haven’t gotten far into the finer details yet, probably still some tweaks to be made, but it sounds reasonably good (and better than the original mix) to me…

Made a start with a new mix project (actually a template saved from the new WOL mix project) for One More Year. Will work on it as and when I can over the next wee while. Maybe have a mix to share by end of next week :)
Offering for today: a wee keyboard jam from Saturday evening. My daughter laid down an organ firstly, completely and utterly improvised, and then I followed suit on electric keyboard, and then she added a synth to it. It’s actually quite nice! :D

Have any of my friends here sat an IQ test? I never have. Might be interesting to try it out, but I’m a bit nervous that the results would confirm I’m a dumb shit. Haha
I take it back. If you put this piece on at a loud volume, it could harm you (don’t do it in headphones)! You could crap yourself, have a heart attack, or a person standing near the edge of a cliff could be caused to lose their balance…

Music’s cool. It can take you off into another world, as a listener or creator, if you’re open to it. You can’t really harm anyone with it (at least not intentionally!). It can be a clean way to express yourself, or to express *something*, whatever it is…
Gotten some very nice feedback for this today :D
It’s still a wip, but the core of it is pretty much there. Need to refine vocals/harmonies, and redo the solo, but I like bits of what I done here, so will try to use this as a starting point for when it comes to record proper.
@MusicFeedbackFr Here’s something I’ve been working on for the past several months, on and off. A remaking of an older song, which I think is about ready to get some ears on it. (It’s not mixed properly yet, as I’m still working on recording bits. Stuff’ll need redone.)

And the vocal harmonies I think will be sounding sweet when I nail the lead vocal, and then can nail those bvs a bit better (hopefully!). But everything is pretty much in its place now in regard to the composition of it :)
