@kristinabuckler@NashSevereWx Couldn’t get a photo because I was driving, but large tree down across Fairway Drive between Lebanon Rd and Selma Dr in Donelson. Put a major kink in school drop off this morning!
@NashSevereWx whew. wind sent full trash cans over in Donelson. Did a frenzied recycling & trash pickup with my neighbor just in time for the truck to come rumbling up the street.
@mandersonville@kroger@TnCoNews1 Recently started shopping at Kroger after @Publix ended their Publix Partners program that gives back to local schools. Looks like I made the right choice. Thanks for showing up for community, @kroger!
@crespinydorab @NWS_BaltWash I know — we were here for a family shindig that was today. We’ll be okay if we have to delay til Tuesday, but hoped/planned to leave tomorrow.
@thecroftonshow Today. Here in Tennessee. We beat it last session and we’ll beat it again. Voters across party lines oppose vouchers — we need to shine light on this bill so constituents can hold their representatives to account.
@BidenMyTime_ @nkornutick When people are given the chance to vote on vouchers directly, they overwhelmingly reject it across party lines (see KY last night). The work is not to cave — it’s to shine light on the bill and let people hold their representatives to account.
The work begins right here. We’ve seen over & over when people have the chance to vote directly on vouchers, they unequivocally reject the use of public funds for private education (see KY just yesterday). Support for public education matters more now than ever. Protect it.
Lawmakers filed @GovBillLee's private-school voucher bill today, more than $7,000 for up to 20,000 students in 2025-26. It also promises $2,000 bonuses to teachers and sports wagering money for construction.
Tapes just went up at Two Rivers Middle — Trump took the precinct very narrowly, but somehow so did Gloria Johnson & Heidi Campbell (I want to know who those voters are). Great news for the transit referendum which succeeded by 160ish votes!
Went canvassing for @hownashmoves & my list had the very street where I grew up! Nashville looks a lot different than it did when I lived on Village Way — we need a transit plan that keeps the city moving & affordable for young families like mine, then & now! @freddieoconnell
