@jkcheney One of my favorite chairs was one I grabbed out of some stuff neighbors were throwing away. It was just wood, but it was a little bit shorter than a lot of contemporary chairs which was more comfortable for me.
Most women don't have the advantage I do that their partner/husband is off the rails enough to threaten the people that matter to the justice system.
And that needs to change.
My sometime-ex argued (in his response to my filing) that the court should find our marriage "was fine" and dismiss my petition. He also claimed I was being manipulated by predatory attorneys, and part of a scheme to discredit him.
As if he hasn't done this himself.
It's a claim to control of individual humans with a threat to harm anyone who gets in the way of that control. And most of the time it gets traction.
I got lucky that his previous threats targeted political figures. No one actually care about me, but the county mayor...
@KEBrightbill Dr. Stewart actively pushed my grades in doctrine down by deducting half-points off essay questions because I hadn't phrased stuff correctly.
@KEBrightbill Not to mention the inherent power imbalance between a student and a teacher that make it difficult for a student to "oppress" their instructor.
