The moral of the story: always remember to listen, engage, and respond. Empower the voices around you and benefit from what they have to say.
This is so true. A previous employer completely sabotaged teams by overloading them with multiple simultaneous projects. It was a nightmare, and very little ever actually got done.
Teams working on multiple projects is a huge red flag. There's been a lot of research in this area. You loose considerable productivity with each project. (At 5 projects, you loose about 80% of your productivity when compared to working on a single project).

Wrapping up my first week at the new job. It has been a good week. Both of my teams seem great. Definitely in a better place than I was seven days ago.
