Turkish media is in full panic mode over India’s new Strategic Partnership with Cyprus and the 5-year Defence Cooperation Roadmap. Headlines are screaming “playing with fire” and “supersonic provocation” at the mere mention of BrahMos missiles in the Eastern Mediterranean.
During Operation Sindoor, Turkey happily armed Pakistan with drones and supplies while providing full diplomatic cover. Now, Pakistan’s “all-weather friend” is suddenly uncomfortable as India deepens defence ties with Turkey’s biggest regional adversary.
India is simply returning the favour.
New Delhi is actively strengthening a Cyprus-Greece-Israel axis to counter Turkish influence. The message is loud and clear: actions have consequences.
The game is changing and Turkey is feeling the heat.
