Christmas is coming, so, a copy of the #MargaretAgnesRope photo book (showing almost all her works, in colour) would make an excellent present.
Just £15, it’s available on mail-order (see link), or at @ShrewsCathedral Cafe Shop

Sadly, this book only features CofE cathedrals, and does not include any Catholic ones. Marga's cathedral work was only to be found in Shrewsbury RC Cathedral
A new book about the stained glass of England’s cathedrals is out soon. Wouldn't it be great if #MargaretAgnesRope's work at @ShrewsCathedral were to be featured?

Two churches with significant #MargaretRope works are open for the #heritageopendays festival this month. The windows at Oxton near Birkenhead are particularly lovely. https://t.co/yAbQCG3qH6
The Rope Archives hold over 500 items and, as one sifts through them, hidden stories come to light - if one knows how to look. See link https://t.co/zt2cN7gnSV

Blaxhall, Suffolk was the home parish of the Rope family, remembered in the 1913 east window by one of their number, Margaret Agnes Rope. Some details, here is St Stephen with a shepherd and his flock, and St Luke with more Blaxhall locals. 1/3
Margaret had a 'medievalist' side. In this In Memoriam piece (St Laurence window, Shrewsbury) she depicts the late-lamented as a tiny figure kneeling at the saint's feet - a very medievalist touch...

A fascinating travel diary by Marga's brother Fr Harry Rope has been re-found @ShropArchives. It is pre-#JRTolkien, very anti-industrialism, and strange... See link.

A new year - and still there is war. Margaret knew war - three of her siblings were on frontlines in WW1. She herself was busy with #stainedglasswindows memorials, including this one to Private Cox @ShrewsCathedral.
