What is an Auction?
An auction is a competitive process where goods, assets, or services are sold to the highest bidder (or, in some cases, the lowest). A transparent method of price discovery used for everything from fine art and real estate to NFTs and government contracts.

Imagine dropping a bid on-chain… and no one sees it until the moment it counts.
That’s the twist COTI + @AgoraByNikos are bringing to auctions.

👇 Weekly Update 👇
What a difference a week makes! This time last week, we were dancing and planning expensive holidays. Now, it’s back to applying for jobs at McDonalds.
It’s all very stressful, if you’re watching the charts and having all these different emotions and ups/downs.
That’s why I remain focused on the fundamentals. They’re, by far, the best barometer for how we’re doing as a project.
Privacy remains firmly in the headlines, and everyone suddenly has a privacy angle. Fact are still facts, though.
1st Generation - privacy/anonymity tokens. Don’t do much, and are being outlawed in most places.
2nd Generation - ZK/FHE/TEE. Either doesn’t enough or does it very slowly and very expensively.
3rd generation - MPC protocols like gcEVM on $coti. Cheap, Lightweight, Compliant, Auditable, Verifiable.
Everything privacy needs.
This is where @COTInetwork enjoys a big advantage. We started developing years ago for exactly this scenario, and we’re LIVE - deploying use cases at a rapid clip.
Yesterday @ethereum put out a guest thread by @pbrody on how they’re leading the way on privacy, and $coti was prominently featured there and elsewhere as one of a handful of privacy infrastructure providers.
I think the implications of this will turn out to be profound.
Paul Brody isn’t just anyone. He’s Ernst&Young and he heads up The Ethereal Enterprise Foundation - the first stop shop for companies wishing to build on Ethereum. @COTInetwork is now effectively part of tool-box handed out to everyone that wishes to build on the network.
There will be tens of thousands of new entrants over the coming years.
The builders at @YaruLabs have been as well. One of my favorites was a post by @JoshuaBMaddox, featuring @_nascardriver (Jordan) using $coti's privacy layer as a backend to easily encrypt/decrypt his data. Normally, he would have used Google Cloud or similar - far more expensive, and with no privacy. The lightbulb moment was the speed at which Jordan was able to perform these functions - 700ms.
There is simply no other privacy tech out there who can do what we can.
Our task now is to keep pumping out proofs of concept for as many verticals as possible, showing that Garbled Circuits is exactly as versatile as we say it is. Business development is continuing unabated at all levels, top, middle and grassroots.
Escape velocity is just a question of time.
Talking about proofs of concept, @COTInetwork put out a great demo showing how you can set up your wallet privacy with a simple toggle for on/off. Exactly the way privacy has been built into @PriveX_Official
UI is where blockchain normally fails miserably, making it a critical component for attracting more users to @COTInetwork. If we can get this right, business development becomes a lot easier.
I talked earlier about verticals, and @COTInetwork announced a new interesting partnership today @AgoraByNikos, bringing confidential, low-fee real-time auctions into our ecosystem. This is a rapidly growing market, and great to see another use case being filled. Also, it has one of our long-time community members @rahuljacob01 on the team.
I love to see it when community members are building!
We will of course be covering all of this, and much more, with @whoistracer this coming Sunday on @COTIConfident
In the meantime, you can go and mint the latest $coti Headlines on @crafter_app:

Have a great weekend,
Soeren
It's estimated that by 2030, blockchain auctions could have captured as much as 25% of the global auction market ($500 Billion).
It's an important vertical, and one where $coti is extremely well positioned to leverage Garbled Circuits with fast, light and cheap multi-party transactions, confidentially.
As a bonus, this project would appear to involve an esteemed community member as well.
Welcome to @AgoraByNikos - we look forward to seeing you flourish in our ecosystem!
@COTInetwork
COTI has partnered with Nikos Consultancy, the company developing Agora, a private, trustless auction marketplace powered by COTI’s Garbled Circuits. @AgoraByNikos brings confidential, low-fee, real-time auctions to Web3.

$COTI
@CotiDjed@COTInetwork Thanks for calling us a mega-company, 😁...
But we do hope you'll appreciate the use-case soon. Agora will highlight programmable privacy for auctions.
We also love community, so looking forward to your positive comments in future...
First came privacy coins like $ZEC, $DASH, and $XMR, solving private transfers.
Now comes ZK-based tokens like $ZK and $MINA, enabling basic single-party privacy.
Next, programmatic privacy like $COTI offers, enabling real privacy use cases like DeFi, AI, and RWA.
That’s why @COTInetwork is already outperforming chains like Linea, Aptos, and Avax in Perp volume:

Private transfers are not enough.
COTI isn’t just privacy. It’s programmable privacy.
Popular auction formats today:
• English – ascending bids until the highest offer wins
• Dutch – price starts high and decreases until accepted
• Sealed-Bid – participants submit confidential bids; the highest wins
• Reverse – sellers compete to offer the lowest price to a buyer
• Silent – private or charity setting where bids are placed discreetly
