A brilliant round of games in the Year 8 House Cricket Competition took place during lunchtime today. A packed balcony witnessed some intense action, powerful batting displays and very nervy final moments. A breathtaking final is in store between Stamford and Bradbury next week!
Many thanks to Old Alt - Sumedh, for delivering an outstanding talk about 'free will vs determinism' and 'how to live a good life' from the teachings of Krishna and other 'eastern' philosophies to members of the
HSJS Society. Sumedh is currently reading Economics at Cambridge.
This year marks the 5th anniversary of AGSB's Hindu, Sikh and Jain Society, and as a token of appreciation for the continued support by the school and teachers we gifted the Headmaster, Mr Wright a Ganesha Bhagwan murti (idol of the Hindu God of good fortune) 🕉

Sewa is a key value in Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism, it is the act of selflessly serving others without expecting anything in return. AGSB HSJS members were fortunate to volunteer with @sewaday at the #ManchesterMarathon by handing out water bottles to the runners.

The first batch of games in the HSJS House Indoor Cricket Competition has come to an end. The sixth-form matches saw some beautiful diving catches, stunning shots for six, viciously fast-paced bowling and a tragic ankle injury. From the chaos, house Tatton has emerged as victors!
