🚀 #Velas Development Update – Last Two Weeks 🚀

Here’s what we’ve been working on:
✅ Archive Storage: Implemented archive storage for subchain blocks.
✅ Configurable GC Pruning: Added support for configurable garbage collection pruning in the EVM state.
✅ RPC Trace API: Introduced trace API support for subchains within the archived block range.
✅ Deployment: All these features have been successfully deployed on Devnet.

📌 With no new features planned, we’re now fully focused on testing:
🔹 Identified and addressed 5 UI-related issues in the Subchains Manager.
🔹 Fixed a strict rule in the validator state hasher, which was causing node partitioning in subchains.

#Velas Update:

1. Last week, in collaboration with @AccumulatedFi, we allocated 1 million $VLX tokens, which will be distributed among $stVLX stakers.

2. Two weeks ago, we released a devnet update introducing key enhancements:

Support for hosting subchains with an updated configuration (semi-compatible with geth init).

Improved program instructions for subchain management.

A dynamic mint/burn token mechanism within subchains, enabled through a specialized system contract.

3. Next week, we plan to release another devnet update, which will:

Enable the exploration of internal transactions within the blockchain explorer.

Refine and polish the documentation (already available at Velas Docs).

Here’s a breakdown of the steps to get started with deploying a custom chain on Velas:

1. **Apply for Beta Testing**: Visit [https://t.co/xvYlFrcLMn](https://t.co/ynhnXOIARW) and apply for the beta test to gain access and approval for setting up on their platform.

2. **Token Preparation**:
- Secure **1.2 million VLX tokens** for each new chain you want to create.
- **1 million tokens will be burned** as part of the process.
- **200,000 tokens** are allocated for gas expenses on the network.

3. **Token Setup**:
- Create or have a token ready on **Ethereum** or another compatible blockchain.

4. **Bridge Connection**:
- Connect a bridge from Layer 1 (L1) to your custom chain, which could be a rollup or use another consensus mechanism. This will enable seamless asset transfer between your chain and Ethereum or other chains.

5. **Launch a Gateway Node**:
- Deploy a gateway node to allow users to connect to your chain using a custom domain and chain ID. This setup will provide a user experience where they don’t directly interact with Velas but operate as if it's your custom blockchain.

6. **Launch a Blockchain Explorer**:
- Set up a blockchain explorer, such as **Blockscout**, to allow users to track transactions and network activity on your chain.

By following these steps, you’ll have a fully operational custom chain running on Velas infrastructure, with connectivity, functionality, and transparency for users.

Back from taking a month break for mental health, rest assured work is on going, #velasblockchain update:

Regarding Velgazm, we continue working on technical issues; the App Store constantly requests some requirements and revisions, and they haven’t been able to list it yet.

Regarding updates for the Velas wallet on Android, we are also dealing with technical issues. It is still in progress, and the deadline has been extended until October.

We have decided to develop a dApp on Velas; it will be a game. We are currently planning all the processes, logic, and working on the design. The user conversion rate should increase.

Working on native integration to list $vlx #velas on 2 additional cex exhanges, updates to follow as we are not yet permitted to disclose details.
