I do not Want him Jailed — 19 yr Old girl S+xually Ab¥sed for 8 years by her dad, Pleads on his behalf in Lagos

A 19-year old lady, identified as Ugo, has spoken out over years of s+xual ab¥se by her 43-year old father, Uche Didie, while pleading that he should not be sent to prison.

Ugo stated that the ab¥se started in 2019 when she was 12 and continued for years until September 6, 2026, when she finally disclosed her ordeal to someone outside the family.

Speaking during an interview,, “He has been having sexual intercourse with me since 2019. I have never had a boyfriend. My dad is the only man who has had c@rnal knowledge of me,”she said.

She stated that her father forced himself on her and repeatedly warned her not to tell anyone.

“He did not convince me,he forced himself on me. He always asked me not to tell anyone and said he would be@t me if I told anybody. Sometimes, he also bought me gifts,” she said.

According to her, the ab¥se occurred once or twice a month. She said she had earlier told her mother, who confronted Didie, but he denied.

Ugo eventually confided in a close friend, the son of their pastor, who informed the pastor. Didie was subsequently arrested by members of the OPC before being handed over to the Police Tactical Unit in Araro, Ikorodu, and later transferred to the Gender Unit led by ACP Oluwatoyin Kazeem.

Despite wanting the ab¥se to stop, Ugo said she did not want her father jailed because of its possible impact on the family.

“I know the best thing is for my dad to be arrested, but that’s not what I want because I don’t want it to affect our future. I’m his second child, and there are three of us two girls and one boy,” she said.

She added, “I wanted it to stop,i want him to be released, but I will stop staying with my parents. I will go to my grandmother in Agege or my aunt in Egbeda.”

However, Didie gave a different account, claiming, “I started sleeping with her this year. I was yet to start having intercourse with her when my wife confronted me.”
