Ambassador Henry Morgenthau reported a “campaign of race extermination,” not “conditions of exile.” Rape, forced marches, drownings, starvation, and massacres — these were not accidents. They were orders.

Erzurum, Sivas, Van, Bitlis — Armenian towns reduced to ash, emptied of their native people who had lived there for millennia. Your claim that they “deserved exile” because they were defending their own villages from annihilation is precisely how genocidaires justify ethnic cleansing.
