ONLF has deployed thousands of armed men within Ethiopian-occupied Somali region, known as Ogaden Somali Security Forces (OSSF), to secure the region's borders and maintain order once expected war between Ethiopia and Eritrea erupts in Ethiopian-highlands, said ONLF official.

An #ONLF delegation visited the Brussels office of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) International Secretariat on January 16,2025.

The delegation led by ONLF Chairman highlighted pressing issues in the #SomaliState (#Ogaden), including the status of the ONLF-Ethiopia peace agreement, human rights concerns, and the environmental and social impact of oil and gas exploration in Central Ogaden.

Broader political, social, and economic challenges in the Somali State, #Ethiopia, and the Horn of Africa were also discussed.

As a member of #UNPO, ONLF is advocating for the Somali people’s right to self-determination, dignity, and respect. UNPO will amplify the #Somali cause through #EU, #UN, and global platforms, including #Africa, #Europe, and the #Americas.
