IBR plans to drive 3,311 temporary piles during 7-month In-Water Work Window (IWWW).
This does not follow US Army Corps of Engineers, and Oregon Fish & Wildlife’s 4-month IWWW restriction. This could increase IBR temporary pile driving to 10 years.
No piles with Immersed Tunnel
BREAKING: Republicans are furious that Pete Buttigieg continues to go on Fox News and school their hosts on President Biden’s record. Retweet to ensure every American sees Pete give the best defense of President Biden’s work.
This is Republican Governor of ND being absolutely correct about our housing/zoning crisis. Can we please have a low key bipartisan agreement to just fix this?
Doublespeak
Greg Johnson often repeats lies about the feasibility of an Immersed Tunnel. A tunnel can make better interchange connections than IBR’s bridge coming down from 100’ at the riverbanks.
“severe out of direction travel” is doublespeak without supporting engineering
Time to blowup IBR’s madness.
IBR, ODOT, & WSDOT are hopelessly committed to recycling the Columbia River Crossing with cost, safety, and environmental problems.
Citizens demand the Bi-state I-5 Bridge Legislative Committee study an Immersed Tunnel alternative.
Here's one way to reduce crashes:
As of this month, reckless speeders in Austria can have their cars confiscated and auctioned off.

IBR’s bridge approach/interchange on will be massive and devastating.
IBR is withholding realistic graphics for fear of citizen outrage.
Immersed Tunnel can save Vancouver & Hayden Island.

Seems important to remember right now that a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.
ALL ROAD USERS.
Painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all. Sharrows? Safer to NOT have them. https://t.co/zIV0pnoHvg
Money is the best part of living sustainably. Never having to make a car payment, $100/month utility bills, the freedom to walk to the local grocery store, restaurant and bike to work. You’re save over $5,000/year to have a healthy and vibrant life!
Stop blaming human error for car crashes.
New study: "The designation of individual responsibility for crashes preempts collective responsibility, preventing wider adoption of [roadway] design interventions."

Difficult to Believe!
A decade ago, for the CRC, Parsons Brinckeroff specified 32 drilled shafts (10’Dia.) at each piers site. Parsons was acquired by WSP in 2014 and now the same engineers for the IBR specify only 12 drilled shafts at each pier site.
