“...Everybody’s life has context. There is a context. You can’t judge somebody or know somebody just based on their actions. You have to know the full breath of their experience...”
When you realised how expensive everything has gotten and Allah has never left you hungry or empty handed, but instead with more than enough. 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹😭 Alhamdullilah.
Chicago, it’s good to be home!
Michelle and I built the Obama Presidential Center to be a place where people of all ages can learn, play, and work – and we can't wait to welcome you all later this week!
On this day of Arafat,
Ya Rabb, make marriage easy for those who desire it. Remove unnecessary delays, fear, and obstacles. Grant them spouses who bring peace, mercy, understanding, and closeness to You. Unite hearts in what is halal & make their homes places of tranquility
And among the greatest ways to begin supplication is:
“Allahumma inni as’aluka bi-anni ashhadu annaka Anta Allah, la ilaha illa Anta, Al-Ahad, As-Samad, alladhi lam yalid wa lam yulad, wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad.”
Abu Hurairah narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah said: "When the deceased - or he said when one of you - is buried, two angels, black and blue-eyed come to him.
One of them is called Al-Munkar, and the other An-Nakir. They say:
Pilgrims today no longer have to endure the extreme hardships that our forefathers once faced. Saudi Arabia has named this Hajj the “Digital Hajj.”
Upon arrival in Mina at 10 PM, pilgrims are provided with clean white sheets to spread on the ground. They are required to stay there until Fajr the next morning. Each pilgrim is allocated a space barely the size of a grave. The only difference is that in a grave the ground is hard, with no pillow and no air conditioning.
Yet in this moment, all the pilgrims are dressed in two pieces of Ihram, fully engaged in the worship of Allah. Some are resting, exhausted from the journey, while others remain absorbed in the remembrance of Allah.
The restrictions of Ihram are very strict even a small mistake can make a compensatory sacrifice (dam) obligatory.
Here, there is no distinction between the rich and the poor. Everyone lies on the ground side by side.
Seeing this scene, it is said that Allah asks the angels, “Tell Me, why have these people gathered here?” The angels reply, “O Most Generous Lord, You know better than us. They have all gathered here only to please You.”
Then Allah, with a smile, says to the angels, “Bear witness that I am pleased with all of them.”
May Allah be pleased with us all. Ameen
