How to Build an AI-Native Cult: Assignations with Hachards
I'm curious how long FOMO and hype could last and whether intense competition is ultimately harmful or harmless. It's about culture, and it's about how to become a cult. But ultimately, retention is key, and retention is built on sustained presence.
Ultimately, real connections are built through the community the cult sees.
Before cryptocurrencies, one of my greatest achievements was analyzing stocks and companies digitally. I was curious about how they were manufactured and assembled, how the systems were built, and most importantly, how they worked.
In what environment do they operate? This reminds me of Hachards on Piccadilly Street, which was more than just a bookstore; it was a place where you could truly connect with people.
The rich history and the unvarnished past are enough to dispel any doubts I may have about the world I'm about to describe. Although the bookshelves are overflowing with Churchill biographies, and Hachards was a supplier to the late Queen Elizabeth, he and her majesty's success and determination may no longer hold practical significance nowadays.
But the significance of Hachards lies more in the fact that you always have the opportunity to go there, to discover interesting books, and to experience the commercial relationships between people of antiquity. You'll never find this in rapidly developing Asia, at least not in mine.
I know this is nerdy. And next I present to you DO YOU READ ME in Berlin!
