@Satsuka_sith They only story lock interludes half the time so who knows. I'd imagine the idea was when Y1 interludes were still short and not at all tied to the main story though and interludes might never have become this if NPs were locked behind them but idk

@Satsuka_sith Given how third skills will often locked behind an interlude in Year 1 I'd imagine that it was more that NPs would have those locking them rather than main story 98% of the time.

It's a bad ranking still but the logic is consistent just bad

I have literally ran Baobhan on my team for every boss since she was released when I was in Camelot lol. She is the best.

@Satsuka_sith Yeah ultimately an Atalante because her value is solely derived from her first skill takes is valued as highly despite not being good because she takes "less investment".

It's dumb but trying to have a consistently objective methodology will always do that and punish upscalers

@Satsuka_sith Mine has always been NP5 on both mains. But I had an alt once with NP1 and like her main use was just swap in and stall an NP a few turns because her Crit and NP damage just doesn't scale at low levels.

@Satsuka_sith Tbf NP1 Baobhan is a poor boss killer because all she has in her kit is a 40% Quick up to boost damage.

NP5 Baobhan is one of the best though and she has great support utility in her skills to ensure survivability.

The tier list is terrible because it tries to balance too much

@LadyVivienneVT I assume it's mostly about framing. The difference between a flashpoint style ripple effect but basically your world but not and deliberate suicide regardless of heroic intent is mostly semantic, but it does read differently.

Overcount 1999 is never stated to be a ritual. It's only stated to be caused by the Harweys per Twice in Episode 2.

The event literally made John's motivation be about how stories of historical figures change them from who they actually were and he couldn't tolerate that with Richard. I kind of assumed that the fact that John was also twisted from who he actually was, was the entire point.

The FSF x FGO storyline ended up hurting FSF’s own lore and, in the process, cheapening Fate’s Richard. And most of it comes down to their insistence on using John.

The frustrating part is that there was an obvious solution. If FGO wanted a bitter prince for its bizarre plot, the Young King was right there. Not only would it have made more historical sense, it would have elevated the entire story.

John simply wasn’t that important in Richard’s life.

Yes, he was Richard’s heir, but only by circumstance. Yes, he rebelled, but even that barely registered as a serious threat. Richard crushed the rebellion within weeks and was so unbothered by John’s role in it that he pardoned him afterward. This is the same Richard who said: “My brother John is not the man to conquer a kingdom if there is anyone to offer the least resistance.”

The true antagonists of Richard’s story were Philippe and Heinrich. They were the men who nearly destroyed him. John was a footnote by comparison.

In reality, John spent far more time thinking about Richard than Richard ever spent thinking about John. Their relationship was fundamentally one sided.

The idea that John was Richard’s rival or enemy comes from Robin Hood, not history. And if Narita intended to draw from Robin Hood, then why base Richard so heavily on the historical figure in the first place? The historical John was undoubtedly important to England (mostly for the damage he did) but his significance in Richard’s personal story is tiny.

If anything, Geoffrey was the more meaningful rival. When Geoffrey and John attempted to invade Aquitaine, Richard directed his anger at Geoffrey, not John. Geoffrey was a peer, a genuine competitor. John wasn’t.

Which is why the Young King would have been perfect.

Henry the Young King was Papa Henry favorite son (John only became all he had left afterward). His death cleared Richard’s path to the throne. A version of him consumed by resentment, a prince who believes Richard took everything that should have been his, fits naturally into Richard’s story. It is personal, tragic, and rooted in the actual dynamics of the Angevin family.

@MaximalScum Yeah it is very explicitly. Tsuki no Sango tbf was they polluted then they quit and recycled too much that they stopped living but the origin is always mass pollution leading to the planet dying.
