@zyrickonline@markobilal Absolutely - rewards and blockchain integration can enhance, but they can't be the basis.
We're still in development and plan on beginning closed testing in the next few months. Stay tuned!
@zyrickonline@markobilal In our view there's no "balancing act", you set out to make a good game period. You can of course give forethought to rewards/economy as you design the game, but ultimately the biggest hurdle is finding a gameplay recipe that works. If you achieve that, the rest flows from it.
@hankgreen Like all names, it depends on what perspective you are asking from. Jengis/Chengis is much closer to the way the Steppes peoples would have pronounced it.

⏰What's Next - Expect to see more in-game screenshots and card previews in the coming weeks. Our new website will also be online very soon, along with a refresh of our socials and Discord.
⚔ Game Development - Gamedev continues at breakneck speed. 3D modelling of the world map is completed, and core features are already in pre-alpha testing.
🏹Game Design - the decision to implement card and deck mechanics was not made lightly, but it solved a lot of issues we identified with our prior combat design. As internal testing continues, our decision feels more vindicated with each passing day.
⚡2024 is going to be a huge year. With full steam ahead towards our launch, we took some time to discuss our new game design, launch plans and more.
The key points summarized below 👇

Introducing Imogene Dawnweaver, sorceress of Dusane.
When played, she grants your Hero +3 Resilience, and upon death deals 3 spell damage to the enemy Hero.
Being ethereal, only magic and chaos damage can harm her.
Does she belong in your deck?
A very happy Sunday to you all - and a happy Easter to those celebrating.
Tomorrow marks the beginning of Q2 2024 - an exciting time for the Aion Universe🌀
Aion Rising features a dual game loop: players are levelling their Heroes and earning resources across the PvE and PvP mechanics, and concurrently expanding/curating their card collection all the time.
The two systems feed into each other: a better deck lets the Hero progress faster, and a better Hero augments the deck's capabilities. Both contribute to greater earnings of in-game rewards such as NFTs, tokens and soft resources.
Players will have to make hard decisions about what systems to upgrade first based on their strategy, playstyle, gameplay goals, and personal preferences.
Collectors, competitors and casual players can all approach the progression ladder in different ways and climb at their own pace and in their own style - the magic of our hybrid game design.
