BPS has installed sensors in all BPS classrooms and is now releasing temperature/air quality sensor data/indicators from all BPS classrooms
You love to see it 🙌
@plumeplotter@RADEBristol I did a build session with KWMC staff a long while back (before lockdown). They were hoping to run workshops of their own back then so it looks like that is getting off the ground now.
Investors beginning to walk away from the huge emissions of wood burning power stations. If only the UK public could walk away from the multibillion pound subsidies the government has pumped in.

Hey @airrohr @SensorCommunity - you seen the new ESP Web Tools by @esphome_ ? Allows flashing of NodeMCU from a browser.
Here's a quick demo which flashes the latest_en_DHT22.bin to an esp8266 connected via USB.

In the US we spend approximately $15,000/year to educate a SINGLE student. To effectively reduce virus-laden particles in classroom air using portable HEPA filtration would add a whopping $7-10/student each year to this total. Two Grande Frappaccunios, folks. Proven technology.
Fantastic #PhD opportunity - Using #CitizenScience at the school gate to improve #AirQuality, working with schools and communities in Bradford/Sheffield.
Very excited to be part of this great team Amy Barnes, @drrosiemc & @KirstyPringle2 #BiBBreathes

@idlingaction@LDN_environment@CamdenCouncil@_CityAir Hmm, so PM is not a factor in this and almost all of the "pollution" is CO2 which is an environmental problem but not a direct health problem.
The NOx emissions per minute are approx 40ml (about 1 golf ball). It seems that volume isn't a terribly useful measure of harm
A good article from @daisydunnesci covering the many flaws in classifying "biomass" as a renewable energy source. Really just a convenient swap for coal & govt's mates Drax
Biomass power: Is the UK’s second-largest source of renewable energy sustainable? https://t.co/oPRf1JgEbz
@morss_alex@BugBrand@dpcarrington Hi Alex! You're right that they don't measure everything, but the thing these do measure (pm2.5) is the most relevant for wood burning.
