@DragonovicUltra It is like marketing filtered cigarettes to those who don't currently smoke at all on the basis that it is better than a pipe or non-filtered cigarettes. Absolutely absurd.
@scullingbat Marketing modern stoves to households that currently do not burn solid fuel on the basis that it is better than an open fire or older stove is the most perverse marketing strategy the neoliberals have come up with in a very long time. Somebody should go to prison for this.
@wrexham It will probably be local businesses that suffer rather than the big chains as a 3rd McDonald's will just leach trade off other businesses. That's McCapitalism for you.
@DragonovicUltra The stove industry are just following a well laid out propaganda plan tried and tested by the best of the best - tobacco, Drax, oil industry etc etc. they are all cut from the same cloth.
They are small fry in comparison but they are every bit as harmful with their disinformation
@ofcoralcaves@Bullcrapwork @getwired @JillBelch Another fuckwit wilfully ignoring the dangers of stove emissions when the chemical make up of stove emissions is remarkably similar to cigarettes with the only notable difference being the absence of nicotine in stove emissions. It's not just about the user but neighbours.
@BarnettEwin@ssrpmcmurphy @DragonovicUltra Kind of ironic that the stove industry evangelists harp on about the eco credentials of their products to sell them to middle class twits in urban areas, but you are all so swivel eyed that you also think the campaign is led by an eco campaign. Which is it?
@DragonovicUltra Great images. Where do they come from? Is it AI? Can you create some nonsensical parodies of how the industry view stoves, such as flowers and life springing from the chimney? Could do a industry vs reality split
@wrexham Batter storage has no place this close to residential areas. The dangers of industrial size battery storage are well known and well documented - look at what happened in Liverpool.
@EltonBongoDrumz@EarMuffs10@jonburkeUK@KayBurley Plus it was the nasty corrupt Tories that enabled this new trend in wood burning in 2015. Why would they then employ "agents" to then campaign against it?
@EltonBongoDrumz@EarMuffs10@jonburkeUK@KayBurley Nobody? Really? I think you are wrong on that one, but again, let's not let the facts get in the way of you swivel eyed paranoia. I am just a severely pissed off long suffering neighbour to a wood burning sociopath, in an area where there was zero burning.
@1984chopper @EarMuffs10@RetroRay3@jonburkeUK@KayBurley Thanks for providing even more evidence why a complete ban from central government is the only solution. I have my special wave for people like you too.
@EltonBongoDrumz@EarMuffs10@jonburkeUK@KayBurley ...Or perhaps the more sociopathic tendencies if the older generations? It's not about you. Nobody cares if you or your relatives want to poison yourselves. What people object to is you taking the rest of the population, our forests and the planet with you.
@GC_BayArea@EarMuffs10@jonburkeUK@KayBurley Fossilised ancient human remains have been found with clear evidence of lung damage from solid fuel burning. But don't let scientific evidence get in the way of your neanderthal prejudice.
@CMO_England Unfortunately we are all passive smokers now due to the latest trend for wood burning stove installations in households and neighbourhoods everywhere that never previously burned solid fuel.
