Brightening up Holby E.D.
Fundraising nationally under dubious generalised terminology.
Hoping to make our medical colleagues smile in difficult times.
Great day with the legends @riches_rob and @_Tom_A_Ward. Even got to bump into our Docs @leighbissett and Asher at work
Really rewarding seeing the scheme grow from hundreds of hours of prep , to over 250 activations since March this year

I’m a fully vaccinated ITU consultant. My family who are eligible to be, are all vaccinated. My risk of ending up sick with covid on itu pre-vaccination was probably small but vaccination is not always about you and your risk, it’s about protecting others #vaxxeddoctors
No wonder you had to bosh the neck. You may have forgotten something that attaches to the BVM? 🧐
Glad to see no one sporting #kneeboards though
#nohelicopternokneed
Doing a talk on “my lessons from HEMS/aeromed”...feel like an imposter. As a novice , do any wiser colleagues have any must-have gems that they’ve picked up?? (I realise this is a broad question!) @VikingOne_@PBSherren@tonyjoy81@gareth_grier @eimsyeire ...pretty please
@jonbateman@RadventureDave Jon - they've covered up the bloody kneeboards??? And how the hell do you write on the anyway when you've got rockets stuck to your arms.
You're right mate. Total insanity 🤦♂️
THANKS TO ALL MY FANS FOR BRINGING THIS TO MY ATTENTION.
WE ARE PLEASED THAT WE CAN DIVERSIFY FROM CHOPPERS TO JETPACKS.
OBVIOUSLY WE HAVE TRIED RUNNING THEM ON KETAMINE AS KETPACK SOUNDS MORE BOSHY.

Here at Holby we prefer to fumble with it, swear, then delegate the task to a less important person on scene.
Eg 'scuse me, Fire! Any chance you can get the end of that 'f###ing tape? I've got no chance in all this PPE'
It brings people together.
So many little things make up my pre-shift ritual, like ensuring tape is folded over at the end so it can be accessed quickly. If one thing from the routine is missed the universe is out of balance and catastrophe awaits.
It really annoys me when people say “The Three Emergency Services”.
This past week I have been on lots of external calls and I have counted 43 occasions when it was said.
