No, and even the US Navy cannot force open the Strait of Hormuz without serious cost. The Pentagon has wargamed this scenario many times, over decades; it never goes very well.
It's worth remembering that I invaded Ukraine to prevent them from getting weapons that could destroy things over 1000km inside Russia.
I remain a master strategist.
WSJ Exclusive: In the Gulf, Moscowโs aid is believed to have helped Iran with recent strikes on U.S. radar systems in the region @tggrove@milanczerny@benoitfaucon
Workers are automatically docked 8% of their pay to be put into a pension - it will become a nice piggybank for Rachel Reeves and Torsten Bell to dip their sticky little fingers into. Why would anybody continue to save if the investments are politically motivated and dubious?
@DrChrisParry For those unable to read between the lines here (especially the idiots who view Putin like some sort of messiah), the hostile nation is likely Russia. Yes, they likely funnel money into UK politics, but they are no friend of the UK.
OTD in 1991 the Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany came into force.
Despite how massively important the promise we totally got is & how it def was made, the treaty makes no mention of NATO allowing new eastern members. The USSR didnโt even ask for it to be.
@DrChrisParry He's not entirely wrong. The operation doesn't seem particularly joined up. A lot of elements are undeniably more reactive than would have been required of thorough planning and Int gathering had taken place.
No doubt, the Iranian war machine has taken a beating.
@yozza370@exRAF_Al No they were different times. Next, you'll be suggesting that the Lords of the manor, on behalf of the King elevate people to be pilots, because that's what worked with Knights in the Middle Ages.
Today:want to be a pilot?
1. Join Air Force.
2. Become Officer.
Simple.
@exRAF_Al The Officer entry requirements are 2 A levels & relevant GCSEs. Just like 'if you want to be a pilot, join the airforce' also, 'if you want to be a pilot, become an Officer'. It's a great thing to have Officers from a cross section of society. The pilot stream helps this.

@JarrieSam@exRAF_Al Probably one of the most inane things I'll read today. Congratulations on conflating your dislike of the Royal Family, with a subject you know nothing about. Do I need to remind you to breathe as you read this๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
CNN reports Russia is now providing Iran with more specific operational guidance on UAV employment, including targeting approaches derived from its use of Shahed drones in Ukraine.
This is not very surprising but good to have it confirmed.
