A feature-length retrospective chronicling the 80's TV classic, starring Jan-Michael Vincent, Ernest Borgnine and a super chopper. Coming when armed & ready.
This is what separates "AIRWOLF" from the family-friendly TV action of the 80's. A drama *and* a thriller. An overlooked point by many. https://t.co/G2NGMH6Cg5
@ker_fuffle A few did. Didn’t mean they themselves replied. The one that springs to mind is Nancy Everhard from Season 3’s ‘EAGLES’. Was really hoping to meet her, as well as Anne Lockhart, who didn’t respond, because of bad experiences on similar docs. A real shame. Friend of Alex Cord’s.
@ker_fuffle Not just her...John Calvin and various other guest stars have, too. Some just didn’t respond to e-mails or wanted to participate. I was lucky to get who I got in the end. Lance LeGault, for example, passed away not long after we had filmed with him. A great man, host and gent.
@dave_skin@MrMichaelSpicer@theAliceRoberts You haven’t seen much TV then to think that “The Professionals” was formulaic. Chauvinistic at times, yes. Dismissive of women, pretty much. But the scripts were some of the best for an action/adventure drama. The espionage, terrorism and corrupt government episodes were spot on.
@MissPerezR@karenparker_70@MrMBrandon LWT couldn’t afford to continue the series without the co-production financial deal with Tribune Entertainment (U.S). The first 3 years and feature-length pilot of “London’s Burning” were very cheap.
@JohnPaynter1970 They are allowed to use real guns still. It’s called low budgets and producers happy to cut corners now. “We can fix it in post.” That’s the regular line of the day.
@BrentMMcKnight @peoplescrtic What was it that didn’t hold up for you, Brent? It’s probably more current, fresh and competent as a series/production than any of the other action shows from back then.
