Congratulations, Biniam! Under the colonialism-nostaligic PFDJ, Tigrayans in Eritrea are forced to disown & hate their Tigrayanness. One day, you will assert your Tigrayaness. Tigrayaness is your identity, Eritreanness is your citizenship. You are a Tigrayan Eritrean.
‘#Ethiopia, #Eritrea Committed Genocide In #Tigray’
A new report by @NewlinesInst concludes that, “there is a reasonable basis to believe that members of the ENDF, the #Amhara Special Forces (ASF) and the EDF have committed genocide against Tigrayans.” 1/

Tigray Denounces Amhara Incorporation of Occupied Territories
BREAKING: #Tigray labeled #Amhara region's incorporation of “Tigray lands into its educational curriculum and regional maps” as an “irresponsible campaign to disintegrate and destroy Tigray.”

#Tigray IRA Warns Amhara Regional State Over Incorporation of Parts of Tigray in Curriculum Maps
—-
The Tigray Interim Regional Administration (IRA) issued a stern warning to authorities in the Amhara Regional State following the inclusion of Tigray's constitutional territories within Amhara's curriculum maps.
"Tigray IRA Cabinet has learned that the Amhara regional state has included parts of Tigray in its school curriculum maps," the statement reads.
Expressing concern, the IRA Cabinet labeled this move as a “deliberate attempt to disrupt the ongoing peace process.”
While asserting that the Tigray Interim Regional Administration cannot be held responsible for any potential consequences resulting from this action, the statement emphasized the Amhara regional state must shoulder full responsibility for any repercussions that may arise.
The federal government has also faced criticism for its "inaction in addressing similar issues in the past," indicating a level of complicity.
"It shows the federal government is part of the acts," the statement accuses.
It is to be recalled that the Tigray Interim Administration issued a statement in July 2023, stating that the "Ethiopia's Ministry of Health's report compiling districts of Tigrai under Amhara Regional State violates the constitution of the land and disturbs the ongoing peace process."
The statement called on the Ministry Office to rectify the error and apologize to the people of Tigray.
Amhara Regional forces have occupied entire Western Tigray, parts of Southern and Northwestern Tigray as they fought alongside Ethiopia’s government during the war on Tigray.
Despite the surrender of heavy weapons by the Tigrayan forces in January of last year, Amhara and Eritrean forces remain inside the region as of the present.
The Pretoria peace agreement and the subsequent Nairobi Executive Plan stipulate that all non-ENDF forces must withdraw from Tigray simultaneously with the disarmament of heavy weapons by the Tigrayan forces.

#Ethiopia: #Tigray interim admin accuses #Amhara region of ‘incorporating Tigray lands in curriculum, maps’
https://t.co/NgHKT0REUg
Tigray Interim Administration has expressed concerns over the Amhara regional government's alleged attempts to “incorporate Tigray lands into its educational curriculum and maps,” claiming them as its own. Describing these actions as "irresponsible," the Interim Administration accused the Amhara region of a systematic effort to dismantle Tigray.
The statement demanded an immediate correction of these actions, criticizing the federal government for not intervening against what they deem as irresponsible behavior by the Amhara government.
The Interim Administration highlighted the importance of peace and stability efforts, warning that the Amhara region's actions could disrupt progress made through the Pretoria agreement.
Again, According to this map, #Welkayt and Raya is #Tigray territory,
-----------------------
In #Ethiopia this map clearly indicates that Wolkayt, Kafta Humra, Tsegede and Raya are part of Tigray not only because of the people and the language but also historically they are part of Tigray,
According to a study of historical cartography in the Horn of Africa, from 18th to 20th centuries clearly shows that the present map of Tigray (wolkayt, waldiba, Raya, shire, Tsegede, Tselemti, Temben, Agame, Enderta, Axume, Adwa etc) and also the Eritrean Highlands (Baharengash), Lasta, Sokota, Limalimo, Metema, Kobo, Gobie and part of Afar were part of Tigray.
The study clearly indicates that Tigray had a much much larger territory than Amhara or the present-day Tigray.
There is an other Map printed by a German publishing firm called "German-printing" in 1849 (40 years before Italian colonization started) clearly shows not only that Western Tigray belongs to Tigray but also Bahri Negasi (high lands of Eritrea) belonged to Tigray, which is a confirmation that the people of Eritrea and Tigray are the same people separated by Italian colonization.
Tigray’s Ceasefire Fifteen Months On: An agreement for peace or an instrument for continuing the objectives of the war in a different way? https://t.co/bpVcxaKdEM
@reda_getachew@USEmbassyAddis A year after the Pretoria agreement, 2.2 million Tigraians are still in makeshift shelters or out in the cold. Western & Southern #Tigrai is still under occupation by Amhara state. North, North east & west Tigrai is under the invading #Eritrean forces, what did the IRA do?
Eritrean troops, Amhara forces do what they do best - kill innocent civilians, maim, burn, loot, detain.
Truce is meaningless when part of Tigray is still under occupation.
