bun rewrite is making me think about how we could change the way programming languages are taught
there’s a big case for a shift in education, ie we get taught the paradigms at a high level and know where to apply them with llms
this is implicitly taught in school
it’s crazy how a lot of engineers are still sleeping on @WisprFlow and other ai dictation tools to build faster.
everyone is prompting code via agents nowadays, but the average think-to-type speed is actually only 20 WPM bc of the friction of getting your thoughts out onto the keyboard.
but if you plan and think your code out loud, you could be dictating at 110WPM. it takes a bit to get used to, and you might end up being more verbose with your thoughts but that ends up being a good thing since it’s just more context for codex to better understand your intent that you otherwise wouldn’t even bother to type out otherwise.
Instructing an agent to do a complex task like building a new feature should be more conversational, and ai dictation tools are just perfect for that.
The only downside is that you might annoy the heck out of your coworkers but they can just go find a phone booth or smth
