(1/2) Students enrolled for January courses are not required to travel to 🇨🇦 by Jan. 1st to attend classes. Even with expanded hours of operation at VACs, not all students will be able to enrol their biometrics & have their application finalized before January classes start.

@CitImmCanada I have applied for student visa under sds category on 26th June, there has been no update on the GC portal, only biometrics updated on 4th dec, why is this the case? I received AIP via mail on 3rd Sept, but gc portal seems to be inactive.

(2/2) Getting a study permit becomes crucial in these weeks as many institutes have started their registration process and are asking for study permit details, without which we can't register. This is causing a lot of stress. I request IRCC to please do something about this.🙏

The main reason to apply SP via sds category is because it is supposed to be faster.SP under non sds categories for SP are getting PPR, whereas sds category applied way prior are still pending
