Honorary professor & consultant anaesthetist at UoM. Started Kanreki phase of my life & reflecting on my three previous phases as Ugandan, expellee and doctor.
Thank you for the kind words. Life is often made better by people around you. Sometimes the period of interaction may appear to be minuscule. However, it’s effect can be eternal. I will raise a glass on the 27th September. Cheers to all.
Just heading back to Menorca after attending Stradishall and Wickhambrook exhibition. 50yr minus 2 days after arriving from Uganda. Thanks to the Historical society and BUA50
Left Menorca apartment at 08:00 17th and got to pay my respects to our late great Queen at about 01:15 18th. Grateful for the opportunity. Excellent policing and support. Had lovely company on the 12hr pilgrimage. God bless Queen Elizabeth II
King Charles III just about managed to hold back his tears whilst listening to the messages of condolence from the Houses of Parliament. Such fortitude from a grieving son who has to be the King. May the support of your family and the Country help you through this difficult time.
@BBCBreaking Very emotive images of The Late Queen leaving Balmoral and arriving in Edinburgh. Mesmerised with heavy feeling in heart. Peace on her wonderful soul. Happiness for her to be with her Duke
Such sad news. Her Majesty was an outstanding lady. Joining her beloved Duke. Her dedication to country and commonwealth was only a small part of her immense life. With a very sad and heavy heart myself, my thoughts to all the family. Hope close family were with her at the end.

Thank you Ajai and Sangita, Whilst reflecting on my life in Uganda and England, I have realised that I too am proud to call myself British. I think enriching your country with actions and constructive critiques can make you part of a community- locally, nationally and globally.
Thoughts on intolerance: When you don’t need to mention colour, gender or religion, when talking to another person because it is irrelevant, we may have reached the plain of tolerance.
