పశువులను సంపదగా భావిస్తాం. రైతన్నకు వెన్నుదన్నుగా ఉండేవి కాడెద్దులు. కుటుంబ సభ్యుల్లా భావించే రెండు ఎద్దులు తుంగభద్ర నదిలో ప్రమాదవశాత్తూ చనిపోవడం ఎంతో బాధ కలిగించింది. అన్నదాతకు పవిత్రమైన రోజైన ఏరువాక పౌర్ణమి నాడు ఇవి మృతి చెందడం, ఆ యజమాని కుటుంబం ఆవేదనతో విలపించడం నన్నెంతో కలిచివేసింది. ఎడ్లు లేని లోటు పూడ్చలేనిదైనప్పటికీ...వాటి యజమాని అయిన కర్నూలు జిల్లా మంచాలకు చెందిన కురవ సురేష్‌ కుటుంబానికి ప్రభుత్వం తరపున పరిహారం అందించేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని జిల్లా కలెక్టర్‌కు ఇప్పటికే ఆదేశించాను. ప్రాణంలా చూసుకునే ఎడ్లను కోల్పోయిన ఆ కుటుంబానికి కొంత సాయంగా నిలవాలని సూచించాను.
