@AmnestyNigeria The Safe Schools Initiative is one step taken by the Nigerian govt to protect schools frm terrorist attacks. So much is said to hv gone into it,with nothing to show for it.Schools hv remained targets of attacks,with many closed for fear of attacks.There shd be a relief.

@AJEnglish Contradictory reasons for the US-Iran war, seen as necessary to give stability to the troubled Middle East,but revealed to hv been caused by Trump's desire for its oil & uranium,are making progress difficult.The US House resolution curbing Trump's war power,may bring in sanity.

@AmnestyNigeria Nigerians hv right to being secured.If they are being harassed by terrorists,a situation that has gone so ridiculous that even children are being abducted,with ransom being demanded,they hv right to protest.Clamping down on peaceful protesters is joining the criminals agst them.

@officialABAT Efforts at securing the release of the teachers and children abducted from their school in Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria, should go beyond promise,to actualizing their release.Goverment delegation to the affected families,would gain relevance only when they are released.

@ADFmagazine The West African sub-region shd not be made security unsafe. Concerned authorities shd ensure this, putting in place structures to legitimately engage the youths, not leaving them to become recruits to insurgency. The government in Mali should be safeguarded.

@AJEnglish The issue of the"nuclear danger",isn't new on the items being looked at,in the peace deal b/w the US & Iran. It has always been there.What is necessary,is the widely held view that the stability of the Middle East,wud remain threatened,under a nuclear Iran.This shd be considered.

@MiltonFriedmanW Govt social responsibility,especially towards the less privileged in society,is a must do,if the tax payers money & the very essence of govt,is not to be wasted.Immigration policy shd align with this. If free immigration becomes a threat, no harm reviewing it.

@AJEnglish The concern to Iran,the gulf countries & the world,shd be abt the stability of the Middle East.The Middle East can't be stable with the gulf countries seeing Iran as an imminent threat to their sovereignty. Good enough,Iran talked abt building trust.All shd be affected by this.

@AJEnglish Nigerians would want to believe that the new initiative involving the US military,along side the Nigerian military,against terrorists in North East Nigeria,would scale down their onslaught against law abiding citizens. Too many reports of such attacks recently.

@AJEnglish If the parties involved in the Gulf crisis allow themselves to again be dragged into war, rather than using diplomacy to settle what has been left unsettled,they wud hv taken the wrong option,laying the foundation of a war theatre ,with disturbing effect on global economy.

@AJEnglish The richness of the Gulf,in energy & other natural resources,as well as their favourable geo positioning to global trade & economywud get the best of attention,under a relatively stable atmosphere.War is inimical to this. An alternative must be sought for regional stability.

@antonioguterres If Africans know this, it should change their mentality to leadership and citizenship. It should change their understanding of patriotism for self push gains to a people driven benefit. All these would change enslaving actions, including unguided borrowing.

@UNHumanRights @volker_turk Civilians shouldn't be the target of any military operations.What has been happening in Nigeria,cud go for errors,but when it becomes rampant,then something is wrong.Investigation wud become necessary to set records right,including finding a lasting solution to such errors.

@antonioguterres Acknowledging & giving Africa the place that befits it in the international system, wud be made possible,not by the western world or by those with veto powers in the UN,but by Africans themselves.This wud start with good governance,social justice & poverty reduction at home.
