I was at a market in FCT (Abuja) where I sampled prices of Njgeria rice, the least price of a 50kg bag of Nigeria rice was N67,000 while the highest price was N71,000 depending on brand and merchant. It cost more at Supremarkets (N75,000 - N85,000). I had to settle for popular brand (my choice) that I was told N68,000.

But on Social media and various news report this morning, the price was put at N55,000, the reports further projected a crash to N30,000 in coming days.

I don't know the motivation behind the propaganda report on the audio massive crash of the prices of rice and other staple food items, but I just hope that those around President Bola Tinubu are not showing him the fake reports to tell him and make him believe that he is doing well economically.
