@rahulroushan Left wing fully understands that Gandhi was actually a right winger
RSS leadership has always embraced Gandhi and almost all sarsanghchalaks had this wisdom
It is the descendants of Hindu Mahasabha (Savarkar) who now have infiltrated bjp who hate Gandhi
@socially321 agree. If Ambedkar would have got separate electorates, it would have led to similar problems for Dalits as we find with Muslim radicalism.
We forget that partition divided Indian Muslims with one part getting a rotten country while the other have to become a second citizen
@monikahalan If some companies are charging too much, wouldn’t new entrants come and offer insurance at lower cost. That is basic capitalism.
Rather than doing these artificial fixes, can you see how we reduce barriers to entry
Regulations should be just used as a last resort.
@EmergingRoy@virsanghvi Apologies but aghast at gross generalisation by so called liberals
Do you like when others label a particular community. If you don’t, please don’t generalise in this case as well
Bhagwat ji has told Hindus that wanting Muslims erased is un-Hindu. Our response as Muslims cannot be applause alone. We must reject Islamist supremacy and contempt for Hindu faith with equal clarity. India’s pluralism cannot survive on Hindu restraint alone coexistence needs two signatures.
"If any Hindu thinks that there should be no Muslim in Bharat, he will not remain Hindu. If you call yourself Hindu, you must believe all paths are leading to the same goal," says RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat in New York
Happy Independence Day.
79 years back, we got our British rulers out. But…
They left behind these grand houses & buildings occupying acres of land.
They left behind a ruler-subject mentality where power was projected with pomp and ceremony - at great inconvenience to the public.
They left behind a system designed for efficient extraction of revenue and personal enrichment - e.g. their district head was called a “collector”.
We have made great strides in these 79 years.
But we still have what the British left behind - just with homegrown rulers enjoying the perks of power.
Wouldn’t it be grand, if in the 80th year, we wipe out the colonial attitude that the British left behind.
1. All those buildings become public spaces. And leaders stay in well designed, spacious, hi-security apartments.
2. We put an end to VIP lanes, VIP parking, VIP exemptions and VIP culture.
3. The system stops treating the citizen with suspicion, and pivots to serving the citizen instead of controlling them.
All it needs is for one party to do this, and the others will have no choice but to follow.
And we can become Viksit Bharat in 80 years instead of 100.
I’m still optimistic.
@bhupendrachaube@amitabhk87@narendramodi Please decrease taxes for higher slabs. Bring effective taxes from 40% to 30%. These H1B workers would come in higher slabs and current high taxation in India is draconian.
@bhupendrachaube@amitabhk87@narendramodi Fully agree
We don’t want any government support. We just want government to go away from our life and we will take care of the rest
@bhupendrachaube@amitabhk87@narendramodi GCC also needs to show profit and Indian government taxes that at a high rate. It is ludicrous that India taxes exports while there is no tax required by US in the work done in India.
Can we please remove that?
Friday thought: Nhavi Mumbai international airport set to open next week. Please name it JRD Tata airport: too many airports are named after politicians, time to name an airport after a civil aviation pioneer who represents the best of Mumbai and India. Hope everyone agrees! Cc @narendramodi@Dev_Fadnavis@gautam_adani
