Tomorrow ChatGPT 5.6 sol launches. Early reviews are saying it's incredible
I've been using Fable 5 for the past 30 mins on extra usage. I've burned close to $150 of credits
Completely unsustainable
GPT 5.6 is OpenAI's biggest opportunity ever to overtake Anthropic
Fable is a fantastic model, but economically makes 0 sense at all
I can't think of a single persona who is going to use this model on API costs. Average people won't spend thousands. Enterprises are already cutting off Opus usage for being too expensive.
If early reviews are accurate and not just hype, I think OpenAI will lead both consumer and enterprise by the end of the month
And this isn't even taking in account the fact that apparently this will be on Cerebras, meaning we could get the top tier intelligence at speeds we've never seen before
Tomorrow is going to be an absolutely epic day. Start clearing your calendar now. A model will release that could potentially flip the entire AI race on its head.

David Deutsch calls it the Principle of Optimism.
The principle of optimism says that anything not forbidden by the laws of physics is possible with enough knowledge, which can be acquired through trial and error.
As I see more and more data, it is becoming clear the first productivity gains that will be widely realized from AI is in programming.
