BIG NEWS FROM THE @Big12Conference
New Big 12 members Arizona State, Cincinnati and Colorado have a home for their women's lacrosse programs. The league will begin sponsoring women's lacrosse in 2024-25. https://t.co/xJnjgl71pp
@iamneilbarrett@LacrosseTens Cup tied is an interesting conversation, but World Lacrosse published everyone's hometowns in their game notes and still many teams are very non-native player heavy
@JannerOnPxP Great article. I think you are going to find the true cost of a venture like this is more in the realm of 2-3 times your early estimate depending on additional staff needed. Everything in ownership is always more expensive than budgeted. Can't wait for this idea to become reality
@Mikespins Yeah two slightly different topics and I see where you are coming from. I had my kids run sixes when the rules were first approved and have them run other small-sided versions as well. I don't think sixes actually opens up the sport, I think it muddles explanations of lacrosse.
@Mikespins How is another "professional" league set to debut in just a few months dropping with no prior info revealed to the lax community, in markets where some Sr. A teams already exist, and no clear plan for supporting the game at other levels considered growing the game?
@TeddyJenner He could be jumping the gun a bit. Maybe the NLL truly has 7 markets ready to roll, but this SBJ article discusses the league reaching 22 teams "by the end of this decade" and 30 by 2035, indicating a more measured rollout plan.

@PremierLacrosse Fun bit of trivia from this announcement: Gary Gait becomes the only player in the inaugural HOF class for both indoor and outdoor professional lacrosse. Casey Powell and John Grant Jr. round out the only other two in both Halls.
