The House and the Senate have their own versions of the NDAA

House version: H.R. 8800
Senate version: S. 4784

Differences exist in topline allocations for specific accounts, certain weapon systems, and policy riders. Both versions have related but not identical language on U.S.-Israel defense tech cooperation around Section 219/224, 622, and 1217.

The House advanced NDAA HR 8800 out of committee with the SAVE Act attached, today. 215-211

Just now, the Senate failed to advance NDAA S. 4784 with the STOP CSAM Act attached. 51-45

Thune changed his vote to no in a procedural move to bring it back to the floor. The other opponents argue the NDAA would act as a de facto authorization or funding mechanism for the Iran war, without proper congressional approval under the War Powers Resolution. Nothing about our sovereignty.

Both chambers are attaching "Apple Pie" Bills that appeal and reasonate to the people IE: Voter ID and child exploitation to try to force their NDAAs through.
