JMI Batch 2026 Placements Begin on an Impressive Note

New Delhi, September 17, 2025

The University Placement Cell, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), is proud to announce the onset of placements for JMI batch 2026, with students securing prestigious offers from leading multinational corporations.

It started with one student from B.Tech-Computer Engineering receiving a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) from Optum with an impressive package of 18 LPA for the role of Software Development Engineer.

Adding to the achievements, four students from B.Tech-Computer Engineering have been selected by IDFC First Bank for the role of Application Engineer, with each securing a package of 16 LPA.

Furthermore, three students from https://t.co/llm142YAEb and https://t.co/LTUCu0GTtE – Electrical Engineering have been selected by Siemens Energy India Limited (SEIL). The https://t.co/llm142YAEb graduates were offered the role of Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) with a package of 6 LPA, while the https://t.co/LTUCu0GTtE graduate was selected as a Post Graduate Engineer Trainee (PGET) with a package of 9 LPA.

These achievements are a testimony to the hard work of the students, the guidance of the faculty, and the continuous efforts of the University Placement Cell in building strong industry-academia linkages.

These accomplishments of students in very good companies at high packages have been done under the able leadership of the Hob’le Vice-chancellor Prof Mazhar Asif and Prof Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar of the university.

High-level delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan visits AJK MCRC, JMI

A high-level delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Jamia Millia Islamia's coveted AJK Mass Communication Research Centre (MCRC) yesterday to explore avenues of academic collaboration and cultural exchange between the leading institutions of India and Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek delegation was led by Mr. Sadriddin L. Suyarov, First Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in India. He was accompanied by Mr. Ravshan Rayimjonov, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, and Ms. Khasanova Gulsanam Khusanovna, Vice Rector for International Relations and Investments at the Journalism and Mass Communication University of Uzbekistan.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by the MCRC Director, Prof Sabeena Gadihoke and other faculty members. Also present on the occasion was Prof. Ushvinder Kaur Popli, Dean, Office of International Relations, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). In her remarks, Prof. Popli emphasized the importance of global academic linkages and expressed keen interest in fostering long-term cooperation between Jamia Millia Islamia and institutions in Uzbekistan. She highlighted the potential for joint research, exchange programs, and shared mass communication research and teaching initiatives that would benefit students and faculty on both sides.

During the visit, extensive discussions were held on areas of mutual interest including media education, curriculum development, co-hosted academic events, and professional training in journalism and digital communication.

 The Uzbek delegation toured  MCRC’s state-of-the-art production studios, editing suites, and media research labs, expressing appreciation for the infrastructure and academic environment of the Centre.

The visit concluded on a positive note with both parties expressing their commitment to developing a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize academic collaboration in the near future.
