A short animated spot for our Irish history #picturebook ‘The Forgettables; Remarkable Irish People (and Animals) You’ve Never Heard of’. Written by Myles Dungan, illustrated by yours truly and published by Gill.
It's 2 years since this brilliant book was released! The Forgettables: Remarkable Irish People [and Animals] you’ve Never Heard! @MylesDungan1 has explained complicated history really well! Art by @AlanDunneDraws. 10/10! Still a perfect Christmas present from @Gill_Books! 🎄🎅🎁
Today, July 1st, marks the anniversary of the Battle of the #Somme in 1916. #Irish soldiers suffered heavy losses throughout it all (36th, 16th & 10th divisions). Read more about it all in The Great Irish History Book written by @MylesDungan1 & illustrated by me! @gillbooks📚
3 days to #StPatricksDay!
St. Patrick’s Day celebrates Ireland’s heritage and culture. 🇮🇪 also has a public holiday to celebrate women, #StBrigidsDay. @IrishEmbJapan worked with @AlanDunneDraws to create a graphic short of her story.

I've received 4 of these HUGE @Gill_Books Irish history books now! 27.94 x 40.64 cm is SO cool! I will be tweeting on them more at a later date. For now, let me say if you have a 8-12 year old who likes non-fiction, buy them for them! They are fantastic & gorgeous! 10/10💫
#OnThisDay 1974: children's classic Bagpuss first aired on BBC One.
Created by Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate, it ran for just 13 episodes, but remains a cult programme for millions.
In 2005, both men reminisced about how they made the show.
Given the amount of interest a tweet showing a photo of an empty cycle lane got, I thought it's a good time to bust out this one again.
Cycle lanes and footpath don't appear congested as they (mostly) allow people to move through quickly and efficiently.
I wrote a story called 'Christmas in Tramore' for @IrishTimesMag, partly to remind myself that families are imperfect and we should give each other a break. Check out the fab cover art by @AlanDunneDraws.
Try to be merry & bright! 🥳 🥳 🥳
Thanks @AlanDunneDraws for dropping by our #DubrayGraftonSt shop. It was great to have you! If you’re still looking for some last minute Christmas gifts pop in for your #signedcopies of The Forgettables.
