many of us can do these things, or LEARNED to and now do them automatically. still autistic

We don't even know how many autistic adults are out there, struggling to get by with no support, because no large-scale US survey has ever been done. UK survey (Brugha) found as many autistic adults as kids, i.e. no "tsunami." We need a tsunami of awareness of undiagnosed adults.

You did a piece on a marginalized group without even bothering to search for advocacy from within that group. Would you do that for any other issue?
