PHASE 1: Assessing and Understanding the Situation
Financial Review
•A detailed list of all debts was created, including creditors, amounts owed, and due dates
•We conducted a cash flow analysis to identify opportunities and potential assets that can be liquidated to generate capital.
Inventory Audit
•We took stock of all remaining items in inventory.
•We identified best-selling products and slow-moving items to prioritize focus.
Problem Analysis
•We determined that poor inventory turnover was primarily caused by using revenue from initial stock sales to cover overdue debts without reinvesting in the business.
•The lack of reinvestment left the business with slow-moving products, which have become difficult to sell as they are no longer trendy, thus reducing demand.
•This created a vicious cycle with little to no capital for reinvestment.
Leveraging Partnerships
•Recognizing the capital block that made importation infeasible, we explored local production as a solution.
•We reached out to few local vendors and secured partnerships to produce trendy products locally.
