It must be made into a law that in addition to their other roles, the LC3 and LC5 are official grassroot representatives of their MPs.
@agribussiness1 1/2
That's a good idea. 50-80 MPs are enough. It's not a guarantee that a MP must always make regular physical tours of his/her constituency. MPs must work through/with local council structures who understands everything on the ground.
@Makerere@makerere the procedure you established for students to report such cases is too bureaucratic to the extent that by the time it provides a solution, students whose marks were deliberately withheld/who were deliberately failed had already missed 1 or even 2 graduation cycles.
@Makerere@Makerere this investigation should extend beyond Dr Faisal Buyinza because there are many female students who have been abused/are undergoing abuse under similar circumstances by different lecturers & feel powerless because of bureaucracy
@davimasinde@JustineNameere you're like Dr Faizal Buyinza. He bribed judiciary to kill the case and you bribed judiciary to robe your competitor's win & elect you into office. You don't need to complain because people like you who trample on justice shouldn't complain when they see injustice
@lasmental@jkmuhwezi@KagutaMuseveni@Parliament_Ug Exactly. The owners with criminal mindsets will remove them. But if they remove the number plate, it's easier for law enforcement to see that their vehicles lack number plates and impound them
📌📌Unapologetic Major General Kahinda Otafiire all along new this Digital number plates deal was another scam.
He knew it was never about the good of the country but just to satisfy a few corrupt individuals.
Look out 👀 for the sudden peaked interest in KB’s freedom. All kinds of people crawling out of the woodworks urging @kizzabesigye1 to hurriedly accept and negotiate a deal so he can get medical care. 🙄 What negotiations, what deal? He has been asking for bail for months - Justice Baguma should grant KB bail in accordance with our laws so he can get medical treatment. Then the government can drop all charges against him if they are feeling remorseful. KB’s right to bail is not negotiable it is given by the constitution, his freedom is not negotiable, it is a God given right. If his freedom was taken from him unconstitutionally, it should be restored by the thieves who stole it. All he should negotiate is his restitution, compensation and the freedom of all other political prisoners. Okay?
@ankolecoffeeug@BalaamBarugahar 5/5
@BalaamBarugahar, if PLU’s anti-corruption principles change depending on whether some1 is a PLU member or not, then this is not a genuine war on corruption—it is political opportunism. Ugandans deserve consistency, objectivity, accountability and evidence, not propaganda.
@ankolecoffeeug@BalaamBarugahar 4/5 @BalaamBarugahar can't hoodwink us to trust that PLU will genuinely end corruption while their actions demonstrate the opposite —preaching water in public while drinking wine at home.
@investigator_ug They realized that the fabricated case will not stand in court. So, they're now faking some negotiations which they'll later base on & tell Ugandans that "Dr Besigye asked for forgiveness & the govt forgive him". This is their objective so that they relieve themselves from shame.
@annemugisha65@Winnie_Byanyima 2/2
The NRM govt should be the one to seek forgiveness from Dr Besigye and his family for the persecution they have subjected to them for the last 26years.
@annemugisha65@Winnie_Byanyima 1/2
True, the NRM govt has never been genuine when dealing with Dr Besigye. If they say he's guilty, let them try him fairly. Then after conviction, they can forgive him. It's a Fool's Day game to say "we want to forgive Dr Besigye" before they even prove that he's guilty.
