@Pleasure__G @bbywestern Not all jails. I've been in a couple where they'd lock you in the dayroom from breakfast til after dinner. No pillows or blankets allowed in the dayroom either. C.Os would wake you up if they caught you sleeping. They say it was to prepare them for a 9-5 job

@LynneShasta40 @JJSPoe @Ilhan Normal max is basically solitary. Solitary is no books, mattress or anything with all food blended into a loaf, allowing no canteen. Some US jails dont even have library or rec. I'm not really seeing anything that makes Alcatraz worse than institutions in the US right now

@LynneShasta40 @JJSPoe @Ilhan You know US prisons have the hole (solitary) people spend years in. In normal max prisons, inmates arent allowed to leave the cell except for 30-60 mins for a call and 5 min shower. I've seen a man hang himself off the tier on top of me, and a man bite his own veins out

@JJSPoe @LynneShasta40 @Ilhan Federal is FBOP and thats where inmates hope they go depending on charges. Better reputation for living conditions than state. Fed inmates will go to state for a while before being released. They all say how much they despise state prison.

@JJSPoe @LynneShasta40 @Ilhan Both need reform, ice detainees and DOC inmates have same arguments. Nobody ever seemed to care until now and even now nobody wants to say let's look at both, once again Americans behind bars are last in line for any justice by the people who represent them.

@JJSPoe @LynneShasta40 @Ilhan Performative? Oh when I was in pre trump, same complaints from illegals about ICE. I believe the media is performative and exaggerates. They've been caught lying quite a bit. ICE funding also reached highs in 2022 and 2023. Nobody cared until media coverage and Trump.

Anytime the government says great is a lie IMO. It gets subjective when we ask what's the "standard" when it comes to certain aspects

@JJSPoe @LynneShasta40 @Ilhan I did 6 years for mushrooms. Max down to medium. Seen plenty of deaths inside, met alot of illegals and all walks of life and crime. The thing is when I told people red AND blue how bad conditions are, neither side believed me, but all of a sudden dems are believing illegals.
