We are almost at our fundraising goal! There is still time to donate and send your name to space! Your contributions will support the Ex-Alta 3 mission, an invaluable experiential learning opportunity for UofA students. https://t.co/GFu6TRvPFu
We have two more days left in our Crowdfunding Campaign!!
For contributions of $100 or more, you can submit a name to be etched on our donor chip and sent to space. For gifts of $200 or more, up to three names can be submitted!

For our first Alumni Spotlight, we would like you to meet Casia McLeod! Thank you, Casia, for taking the time to share your story! #space#aerospace#cubesat#satellite
Did you know AlbertaSat, a student club, launched Alberta's very first satellite?
Next summer, we're excited to launch our new mission, Ex-Alta 3, into space!
Check out our links in our bio to learn more!
Thank you to @NASA and Nanoracks for deployment images of Ex-Alta 1!
After receiving the award from the @csa_asc , our @AlbertaSat students have named their new cubesat Ex-Alta 3. The name builds on the tradition and recognition of the 2 first cubesats from the team.
Onwards and upwards!

Ex-Alta 3 will measure and obtain multispectral imagery of snow, ice, glaciers, and ice caps in Canada’s North while facilitating the training of Canadian highly-trained personnel and supporting the development of open source satellite components.
Stay tuned for more updates!
NEW PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
AlbertaSat will be moving forward into the year with our new CubeSat project, Ex-Alta 3!
Our project proposal was successfully selected to participate in CUBICS (CubeSats Initiative in Canada for STEM 2022) early this June!

As the Canadian CubeSat Project comes to a close, we want to congratulate all the teams across Canada that built and launched their very own satellite. But we’re just getting started…
Last night a new "cubesat" built by the @AlbertaSat team began a journey into orbit aboard a rocket launched from @NASAKennedy. Once in orbit, Ex-Alta 2 will begin its mission — giving researchers the ultimate bird’s eye view of wildfires. #UAlberta@UAlberta_Eng@ualbertaScience
