But wouldn’t you agree that that’s a discussion for before the race, not a change in policy during the race, in public? Mercedes won their world championships and McLaren prior to that without a clear no.1 driver.

@McLarenF1Fan25 @Quelxes @Formula1Wimbo @HillF1 I think Lando is more likely to be world champion if he works with the team and not defy them. If he plays fair with Oscar he is likely to get team assistance. It’s the constructors title that is more likely for McLaren anyway.

It will not. Your logic is faulty. The only reason he was ahead was because he had agreed to work as a team. He was pitted first. So he was gifted the lead by the team then asked to hand it back out of team ethic.
