If that is indeed the matchup and ratings are “bad,” it’s a failure of ours as a collective media covering the sport.
Part of the job should be to teach, educate and inform the audience. Tell the stories all season long. This way the audience is engaged.
The NBA does a lot of great things. Other sports do a better job of this particular thing.

Feel-good story today: Rams TE Roger Carter was trying to find some help for his former boss at Playa Bowls in ATL, because they were short-handed. When he couldn’t, Carter showed up himself to work a full shift today…register, kitchen, floor, whatever they need help with.
