Malgré ses contraintes, le nucléaire reste l’énergie bas carbone la plus fiable pour l’adaptation climatique. La semaine dernière, quand la vague de chaleur a commencé, l’éolien a décroché. Les chiffres de la semaine dernière le confirment. Du lundi au vendredi, l’éolien a représenté 9 % de la production électrique en Allemagne, 5,5 % en France et 13,9 % en Espagne.

Pendant ce temps, les prix ont raconté la même histoire. La Belgique a atteint un record absolu autour de 1 038 €/MWh. L’Allemagne est montée vers 700 €/MWh. Les prix d’équilibrage ont atteint 4 000 €/MWh aux Pays-Bas et 1 416 €/MWh en Allemagne.

▶️ La France, elle, a tenu.
On a beaucoup parlé de “crise nucléaire” parce que 5 à 6 GW étaient indisponibles.. Malgré ces restrictions liées à la température de l’eau et à la protection des milieux aquatiques, la France est restée exportatrice nette presque toute la semaine, avec 5 à 10 GW d’exportations quotidiennes.

Mieux encore, elle est restée l’un des pays les moins chers d’Europe. Prix moyen day-ahead sur la semaine : 115,76 €/MWh en France, contre 137,13 € en Allemagne ou 130,39 € en GB..

▶️ La semaine dernière, l’Europe a donc vécu une petite répétition générale.

Les prix ont explosé dans plusieurs pays. Les systèmes d’équilibrage ont été sollicités à des niveaux extrêmes. Le solaire a aidé à midi et disparu le soir. L’éolien a manqué. Le gaz, le pétrole, les imports, les capacités pilotables ont repris le rôle que la communication politique leur refuse mais que la physique leur rend.

Et la France, malgré ses contraintes nucléaires, est restée calme, exportatrice, relativement moins chère.

Le réchauffement climatique rend la puissance pilotable plus précieuse. Quand les températures montent, les besoins électriques deviennent + critiques. Il faut refroidir les logements, les écoles, les hôpitaux, les bureaux, tenir le soir et produire quand le système le demande, pas seulement quand la météo l’autorise...

The United Nations General Assembly operates on the principle of “one country, one vote,” giving every member state equal say regardless of size, population, wealth, or financial contribution.

This structure dramatically favors China through its leadership of the G77+China bloc, which controls 136 out of 193 member states and over 69% of the votes in the UN.

This group of Global South Nations consists of a large number of small tiny nations like Tuvalu or Nauru which cast the exact same votes as the United States (340 million) or Germany (84 million).

While Europe and North America together represent major economic and military power, they hold only a handful of votes.

China, by coordinating the G77, now routinely shapes outcomes on budgets, mandates, human rights and sanctions in the UN. It often does so against U.S. and Western interests, while paying far less than America’s 30% of the UN’s costs.

This UN system has turned sovereign equality into a tool that amplifies the influence of authoritarian-leaning coalitions and diminishes the voice of the world’s leading democracies.

Why should the West pay for it?

Nog een vraag die je nooit in de klimaatkerk hoort -en dus ook niet in de media.

—> Sinds ongeveer 1980 meten wetenschappers in Wenen dat er gemiddeld zo’n 23 W/m² méér zonnestraling het aardoppervlak bereikt dan vroeger.

Niet omdat de zon plots feller schijnt.
Maar omdat de lucht -gelukkig- veel properder is geworden en dus minder zonlicht tegenhoudt…
Dat noemen ze ‘global brightening’-prachtige naam trouwens.

Maar los vd naam: als er vandaag meer energie van de zon het aardoppervlak bereikt, is het logisch om te onderzoeken welke rol dat speelt in de opwarming.

En ja, die vraag kan je perfect combineren met een CO2-fetish. 🤓

Deze ontdekking onderlijnt nogmaals dat het klimaatsysteem veel complexer is dan “meer CO2 = alle opwarming”. En dan hebben we het hier nog maar over 1 bijkomend fenomeen- en invalshoek.

Echte wetenschappers onderzoeken alle relevante factoren en blijven die onderzoeken.
Zeker als iets zo ongelooflijk complex is als ‘het klimaat’.

—> Maar een ideoloog ziet maar één oorzaak. Dogmatisch. Denken-beperkend. “Het moet en zal CO2 zijn, wat anderen ook zeggen!”

Opvallend toch dat CO2 van alle mogelijke oorzaken ook juist de enige is waarop je belastingen kunt heffen… tenminste als je ervan uitgaat dat de mens de bepalende oorzaak is.
Schonere lucht belasten wordt iets moeilijker -maar niet onmogelijk natuurlijk. 🤡🙈

1️⃣ None of the politicians, celebrities, or “scientists” yammering about it have altered their lifestyles by an inch. If they opted to forgo using O&G products, then I’d take them seriously. Actions speak louder than words.

2️⃣ Climate conferences aren’t being held virtually on Zoom using their large meeting extensions. It’s doable, they just choose not to. They like to fly overseas to lecture us about reducing our “carbon footprint” all the while they do nothing to lower their own.

3️⃣ Wealthier alarmists are still living on or buying oceanfront property. If ocean levels were really rising at a catastrophic rate (as opposed to the gradual increase that is actually occurring), then they would move inland and banks would not approve loans.

4️⃣ Alarmists rarely, if ever criticize China and India, and they always come up with all sorts of wonderful excuses as to why those nations get a free pass to continue emitting so-called “carbon pollution.”

5️⃣ The only solutions they offer involve increased governmental power. Higher taxes. EV mandates. Restrictions or bans on the energy sectors they don’t like.

And, as an added bonus, no real-world data proves, much less suggests that we are facing an “existential crisis.” Even the IPCC doesn’t use such rhetoric because it isn’t based on science.
