El 23 de julio de 1986, Queen llegó a Budapest, Hungría, como parte de su Magic Tour. La banda llegó en un hidroala alquilado, que pertenecía al presidente soviético Gorbachov, y la embajada británica en Budapest organizó una fiesta en su honor.

El concierto, que tuvo lugar en el Népstadion (ahora estadio Ferenc Puskás), fue el 27 de julio y atrajo a 80,000 espectadores, siendo uno de los conciertos más grandes de la banda en Europa del Este.
